My quest to find the perfect burger continued as I arrived in the vibrant city of New Orleans. I stayed at the InterContinental New Orleans, conveniently located on St. Charles Avenue, which offered a fantastic view of the bustling street life.
Typically, when I come to the Big Easy, I rent a car to explore the area. However, this time I opted for a more leisurely experience and took an Uber to the French Quarter, allowing me to stroll through the lively streets filled with music, art, and the rich culture of New Orleans. My destination was the Caesars New Orleans Casino and Hotel, where I eagerly anticipated trying Bobby’s Burgers.
Bobby’s Burgers is owned by the renowned Chef Bobby Flay, known for his innovative approach to comfort food. The restaurant specializes in “hand-crafted burgers with a twist,” and the menu doesn’t disappoint with its creative offerings. Among the standout items are the “Crunchburger,” known for its crispy onion strings, and the “Brunch Burger,” which features a juicy patty topped with a perfectly fried egg. I decided on the Brunch Burger, delighted by the idea of indulging in a classic burger with an unorthodox twist. To complement my meal, I chose one of their signature vanilla shakes, which promised to be rich and creamy.
This satisfying meal came at a hefty price of $26, but every cent was well spent. The burger was exceptionally delicious, bursting with flavor as the expertly blended seasoning enhanced each bite. The perfectly grilled patty was juicy, and the fresh toppings added a delightful crunch. The milkshake was incredibly smooth and refreshing, almost like drinking dessert itself, and the generous dollop of whipped cream on top added just the right amount of sweetness. Though I’m carefully monitoring my blood sugar levels, I couldn’t resist the temptation to indulge at this establishment, and it was an experience I wouldn’t trade for anything.
After eating, I got my steps in and decided to check out the casino. While this isn’t mainly about the food, I did notice some people winning, although I wasn’t one of them. I enjoy visiting casinos and playing the slots, but I wouldn’t put a dollar into any of the machines at this particular place. However, if you’re going for the food, I definitely recommend making the trip to try Bobby’s Burgers.
My only critique would be about the French fries. You may have noticed that I didn’t order any. I refrained because I saw someone else’s fries, and they looked burnt. That was enough to turn me off from trying them.
In conclusion, I would rate the meal I had an 8.75 out of 10. I do think that almost $30 for a burger and shake is a bit steep, but I would certainly go back.
Now let’s get back to the hotel, take a nap, make better financial decisions, and then try some soul food for dinner.
